When planning for any relationship it is important to know the type of person you will be partnering with, it will enable you make an informed decision and give you insights on how stable the relationship will be and the pros and cons thereof. Business relationships are no different, therefore we will look at the different types of investors and learn to understand how they affect our start-ups. We start identifying different types of investors at the early stage and analyse later-stage professional investors also to classify the types of investors into a comprehensive investor map. Learning the advantages and disadvantages of accepting funding from family, friends, founders, and angels, and comparing this to the advantages and disadvantages of crowdfunding as well as being able to distinguish between the different models of crowdfunding.
